Welcome!

First Baptist Covington is committed to partnering with you as a parent, helping your children discover the bright future that is ours through Jesus Christ. We understand the unlimited potential in each and every child, and we seek to provide the kind of love, acceptance, example, and teaching that will help your child be all that God wants him or her to be.

Every week and throughout the year, you’ll discover a well-rounded program that includes Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Missions classes, and Children's Choir for 1st-6th graders.

Age-Suitable, Biblical Content

We believe it is important to capture the minds and imagination of children with Biblical Truth. Everything your child participates in, from lessons to games, will focus on teaching them the truth of the Gospel.

SUNDAYS

Sunday School

Sunday school is a fun time of Bible study and teaching for children!  Here, they learn how to look up scripture in their Bibles, begin building their Bible knowledge, and learn how to apply it in their own lives.  Our children's classes are divided by grade to ensure children are comfortable and surrounded by peers.

10:00 a.m.
1st - 2nd Grade: Shanna Martin & Valerie Townsend
3rd - 4th Grade: Gene & Bonnie Coltrane
5th - 6th Grade: Pam Anderson & Jasmine Fussell

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS

RAs, GAs & Children's Choir
August - December

Bible Skills, Drills & Thrills
January - May

Bible Skills, Drills & Thrills will help children increase their knowledge of the Bible, begin developing verse memory skills, and learn how to apply the Bible to their own life.  Children will learn all 66 books of the Bible and memorize 25 scripture verses.  Children in 3rd-6th grade will also memorize and look up 10 key passages.  We are excited about the opportunity to guide young believers in developing a love for God's word and to teach them how to hide His word in their hearts!

"I have treasured Your word in my heart so that I may not sin against You." Psalm 119:11 (HCSB)
